Muong Phang 91 Group's story

Chieng, 45, is a Thai ethnic woman who works as a farmer and lives in a remote village. She has two children. One of them has gotten married and moved to another house.

Right now, Chieng is living with her husband, a son, a daughter-in-law, and a grandchild in a Thai traditional stilt house. For a living, her family relies on agriculture production such as cultivating rice and raising fish. Because of a difficult situation, she has to work very hard and diligently, and she has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em Program to overcome the lack of capital.

This is the fifth time she has taken a loan from the Anh Chi Em Program. This time, she will use the loan to buy baby fish to expand fish farming. She hopes that with the continuing support of the program, she will gain good income and gradually improve living conditions for her family.

Chieng dreams that all of her family members will have a sufficient life. In the picture, she stands at the first from the right.
